Residents are invited to show their colors at The Summerlin Council Patriotic Parade taking place Tuesday, July 4. Now in its 23rd year, the Patriotic Parade features more than 70 entries including marching bands, floats, giant inflatable balloons and children’s favorite storybook and cartoon characters.

The escort division steps-off at 8:30 a.m. with the parade’s main body commencing at 9 a.m. The parade travels along flag-lined streets from Hillpointe Road and Hills Center, then south on Hills Center Drive concluding on Trailwood Drive at the entrance of the Trails Village Shopping Center. Arrive early to get a prime viewing area along the route.

Parade Courtesy Shuttle
A special Downtown Summerlin courtesy shuttle will run from 7 a.m. to noon on July 4.  Residents and the general public can park at Downtown Summerlin and ride the shuttle to the parade start location. The shuttle departs from The Lawn at Downtown Summerlin and drops off  at the 24-Hour Fitness parking lot near the parade route.  This will make getting to and from the parade even easier and more convenient.  Shuttle riders will have an opportunity to win gift cards and festive party items.
